1. Why does Proactiv® Solution sell a different kit in the US than in Europe?

Proactiv® Solution products are formulated by skincare experts Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields, trained at Stanford University. 2. Why is there a Repairing Day Lotion and a Repairing Night Lotion when the US kit just contains one Repairing Lotion?

The Proactiv® Solution 4 piece system, including the Repairing Day and Night Lotions, has been specially formulated for the European market per EU regulations. When Rodan and Fields formulated this special Proactiv® Solution system for Europe, they included many blemish-fighting ingredients which, in their expert opinion, work better as a 4 piece system. The Night Lotion contains Salicylic Acid and Retinol, a combination clinically proven to reduce blemishes and wrinkles. Because Retinol may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun, they advised use for night time only. Thus, the Day Lotion was created with Salicylic Acid and Tea Tree Oil to combat blemishes during the day time. Together, this fantastic anti-blemish system is working for you Day and Night!

3. What is the difference between Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid?

Both Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid are widely recognised as effective ingredients which help fight existing blemishes and prevent the formation of new spots. Though they have both been proven to reduce blemishes and help clear skin, they perform in different ways. Benzoyl Peroxide works to kill the bacteria, that causes blemishes, thus reducing and preventing spots. Salicylic Acid works by loosening clogged pores, thus helping to prevent blemishes from forming in the first place.

4. Why is Proactiv® Solution sold on television?

Unlike some individual “spot treatment” products you can buy in some stores, Proactiv® Solution is designed as a total complexion management system.
